Project Description
In 1994 a tree-trunk canoe, made in South Senegal has been transferred to Futa, Mauritania.
This canoe is used (up till now) to transport villagers, who grow sorghum alongside the river, and their harvests.
Previously used as well to transport women and children to the health centre at the other side of the river. In 2000 a health service centre has been built with support of Silent Work.
